Default hard-coded text field looks different in LInux/Mac

    Hello,

I'm having a problem with the Look and Feel feature of java. Some of the text fields that contains decimal format and dates looks different in Linux. Some of the panels are overlapping in Mac.

Could anyone help me on how to fix this? I use the System default Look and Feel of Java. However, the sizes of the text fields are smaller compared to the normal text field. I would like to make all my controls to be aligned and uniform across different platforms.

Your help will be very helpful!

You need to provide more information than that. There could be dozens of things that can be the issue. I recommend posting an SSCCE that reproduces the problem.
