Head First Java 2nd edition, whats your opinions for JDK 8 ?
Hello
I'm pretty new to java and just looking for a book to begin with along with an online course that I'm doing at the moment.
Head First Java 2nd edition, whats your opinions for JDK 8 will it be too out dated by that time which is pretty much next month ?

Hi Gentle,
that book is pretty good about the basics, which have not changed much. I doubt that you'll already get good books that deal with Java 8 specifically.
In short: Head First Java is an excellent book for the basics.
