I wanna start with Java programming , writting code and stuff , I wanna begin from the scratch / zero , so which book is recommended ? there are many Java books out there so any suggestions ?

Well, i'm using Objects first with java by David J. Barnes & Michael Kölling, uses bluej as an IDE wich I think is a good IDE to start with...

But like you said, there are a lot of books out there, so the choice is really up to you, or if you are following a class, your teacher.
