Head First Java is alluded to as the Java programming book of scriptures by most perusers and is presumably the best Java book for amateurs.

Yes, I agree. Java is the most popular programming language and has a great career prospect in the future. I have read "Java Concurrency in Practice" and Java: A beginners guide." These two books have helped me a lot.
