Are you asking us how to illegally download software?

We aren't going to help you pirate software.
I am confused- how are you adept enough to "make" a computer, but you don't know the basics about operating systems (or how to obtain them, legally or otherwise). If you are cheap, how can you afford to make a computer in the first place, let alone purchase games for it? You should have built the operating system into your budget.
I'd recommend you do a google search of "linux".

Linux kernels aren't the best for gaming, but there are applications out there which allow you to run some games, such as Wine, but the rate at which games become runnable through Wine can be months behind the actual release date of a game, as well as provide poorer performance than you would experience using the games natively.
Kevin is right about budgeting stuff like the OS into the complete build from the offset though, as it doesn't make sense that you would order every component par an OS, and then suddenly lose your job ( for which you have my sympathy ). Of course the price of Windows is on the steep side, but until they stop dominating the market and Linux gets as much support from vendors, It's something you need to put up with to get the most from your computer (IMO).

Well, which version of linux to use is a different question than how to pirate windows.
But you haven't provided enough information to really answer the question. I suggest you take a look at the game's system requirements and see what they say and how they compare to your computer. In addition to the operating system, the game is going to require certain hardware as well.

I have been working on this computer for a year getting parts from online or other computers and I thought I had a boot disk for win7 but turns out I didnt. so getting an OS wasn't really a top priority at the time
My question was never how to pirate windows by the way
I just would like some suggestions on a good operating system to use and linux is a bit to vague for me so please any suggestions would be nice :3
one other thing...Kevin it sounded like you didnt think I can make a computer. and that kind of offended me
I did not mean to offend you, I'm just confused as to how a person can have enough technical ability to build a computer, but then not be able to compare system requirements to an actual system or to download an os. This is a technical forum, but these aren't really technical questions, so they're kind of hard to answer other than to point you to google.

Which Linux distro you go for in entirely based on your needs, because as far as I'm aware (not an actual Linux user) all distros are built atop of the same Kernel.
Unless you're a hardcore Linux fan, I'd imagine it was best you stick with Ubuntu as it seems to be very user friendly and compiled with a plethora of tools out of the box (where some distros are complete barebones).

I can easily go to google and compare...however...if you ask people for a good OS they will give options and then you can go and look into them which narrows down the search.
Ubuntu I heard of from a friend who used it and he said it was good. then another one of my friends said mint was good. I was hoping people could me some suggestions seeing if there were any free windows versions or anything thats not linux
