Hi,
I have to write a program that accepts a continuous stream of data and check if data is 1 GB.
If it is 1 GB, then do something.
Meanwhile I should also not ignore any data that I am receiving continuously.
Any suggestions please ?

Do you mean you just need to get the size of the input data (not store it)? You could use standard IO (see http://download.oracle.com/javase/tu.../essential/io/) , reading in and getting the size read. Something like the following
The above tallies the amount of date sent through the stream, but doesn't store the data.int len = 0; int total = 0; char[] char = new char[256]; while ( (len = is.read(char) ) != 0 ){//where is is an InputStream total += len; }
Hi,
I have the same requirement but here i need to store continuous streaming data into oracle.
Pl suggest
