Thread: AsciiDoc and Java

Hi there!

I'm pretty new here, but I hope I can somehow rely on you guys, as I got some trouble to cover and hopefully you can help me solve some of them!

First, I'm working on a program, or rather a plugin for eclipse, to use an editor to write asciidoc documents, as these documents, containing asciidoc comands, will be used for other processes later on. So I want to create some sort of a preview to check them beforehand, without using a linux OS or cygwin.

I went through the asciidoc code, in hope of finding some way to directly interact with it, in order to cover future updates without having to rework the plugin, but for now I didn't have much luck, or rather, it seems "I have to invent the wheel anew"...

So here I am, in hope of someone who allready got some expierence with asciidoc or something similar, who can help me through my crisis...

Hello again!

It's been a while since I posted the thread, but a collegue of mine returned last week and after a little research we were able to create our preview by using Pydev and python.
Via a little programm we let AsciiDoc handle the generation of a html file and then we let Eclipse open a window to have a look at the generated html file.
It works pretty well and now we are planning to go one step further, we are trying to implement syntax highlighting for our editor, but of now we are pretty clueless how to go at it.
At the moment we are looking through different guides, mainly wiki.eclipse.org, but with no real luck of finding anything useful...

That's why I hope someone is able to help me/us or at least be able to send me into a direction... Thank you!
