(2) Sting is all in lowercase
(3) If the string has any numeric values

There are many different ways. Here's one:

Having read copeg suggested lesson on Regular Expressions I am even more confused. The lessons makes little sense to me and seems very complicated. Also having read it I cannot instanly see the solution.
A simpler way would be to look at the characters one by one using a String class method to get the character. Then use some of the Character class's methods to test the characters.
Another technique: change the String to all one case and compare it to the original.
