Default Best beginners project in Java

I was just wondering what a stimulating project would be for me to accomplish. Preferably something else besides a console calculator.

    Hello Fendaril,

Nice to see you back on the forums again I hope your well.

Do you have any hobbies that you could write software for?
I find that I learn a lot when I work on projects that relate to what im interested in.

For example, I collect vinyl records. So I wrote an application to catalogue and display my vinyl collection.

If you can't think of anything along those lines then let me know and Ill think of something!!

Well I like gaming. Although I hate everything about graphical development. Maybe I can draw on the console. OPr maybe that is too advanced.

Here is a good little project for you:

I started this myself but was unable to finish it. See what you can do... You might even get $100 out of it

I have some more information regarding this project so if you think its something of interest to you then PM me.
