i created a jar file by using the command jar cf "jar-filename" "java-Filename". It creates the jar file but I am unable to execute it.

What is in the manifest file? What error messages do you get? See post#5

Add some println statements to the code that will print out messages as it executes. Then execute it and see what messages are printed. That will tell you where code is executing and where it has stopped executing.
If a message is printed the statement was executed. If not printed, it was not executed.
