    Default Is scanner the right choice?

    Hi All

    I have my application get a file on my machine and display the raw text in a text area. I need to filter/search for keywords and display the key words on another text area.

    Sounds pointless I know but there is a method in my madness if I can get this to function. I am fairly new to all this so got Java books out all over the place. Driving my mrs mad

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Scanner seems fine for what you describe. Try it and see.
