I want to create a Sharepoint Stubbing using java api by, replacing the real files with a smaller file containing only the information necessary to retrieve the original file. Now the real file can be store anywhere and in any format as long it can be restored in a timely manner and unmodified.


Please Guide me How can we implement this in SharePoint using java.

Does SharePoint have an API or Java Programmer's guide of some kind that documents how to create third-party add ons or utilities that do what you've described?

I am able to connect sharepoint server using java programming and retrieve all documents from sharepoint,
now I need to implement stubbing on sharepoint web services using java programming

it is the process of replacing the real files with a smaller file containing only the information necessary to retrieve the original file. Now the real file can be store anywhere and in any format as long it can be restored in a timely manner and unmodified.

What you describe sounds like simple document editing, but to do that you have to know the format of the document and how to preserve the format so that the modified (stubbed) document remains a valid SharePoint document. Do you have that info? If so, what do you need to know beyond that? It seems the steps are: Read the file, modify it using Java, return the modified file (or save the modified file and return the original file - I'm not sure which based on your description of stubbing).
