Are you parsing the java source code (file parsing) or are you wanting to inspect a class at runtime (reflection)?

Please describe why you'd be looking for usernames and passwords. It doesn't sound like an activity this forum would support.

hello guys, am actualy designing an app to be use in-hause by a company to inspect the source code/bytecode of third party softwares for backdoors before buying the software. and am puting enphasis on special credentials backdoors where the programmer inserts special username and password in the code to give them unlimited access.

I have come out with the following pseudocode and i want help to translate it to java code.

    this is the pesudocode:

    1. identify static variable that look like username or passwords-->start with all static strings using the ascii character set and then focused on string comparison as opposed to assignment or place holder.

I hope this is much clearer.
