Embedding images in a matrix.
How would I go about creating a matrix whose points are at certain intervals, and whose points consist of images/tiles? I am trying to create a matrix of discrete tiles that I can manipulate, all I have now is the window, and have been struggling with everything else. I am very new at java and any programming language for that matter, and am trying to learn. Also if there are any conventions in this forum that I must follow, please direct me to the post that lists them.

Im not entirely sure what you mean, do you just want to draw a number of images/tiles to make a sort of map or something?
