What would be different about your own custom Buttons? Chances are you can use a normal JButton to do the job.

i want to use Pictures or hexagon or circles with images instead of normal rectangular button how can i do that in JButton then ?
Pictures are easy, just set the icon.
Shaped buttons are a little bit trickier, and would probably be best handled by overriding paint to use transparency and overriding the contains() method.
Or if you really wanted to handle all of it by yourself, just draw whatever shape you want and implement all of the mouse handling yourself.
