Hey Guys!
Just recently decided to take up Java! I know I'll need help along the way as I'm learning by myself! I have a friend who works for a company programming java but I can't ask him for help all the time! I've looked at C, C+, C#, Python, and my friend recommended Java as its the popular language at the moment!
So hopefully one day after asking maybe a 1000 question I'll be at a point to help people like me just starting out!

Welcome to Java Programming Forums!
Java is a good choice for a language to learn. I started with C++ about 8 years ago now, and now I am a solid Java Programmer, I have just finished University where they taught Java for 3 years and now I have a job developing in Java. Java is the popular at the moment so it isn't a bad choice, and there is plenty of resources for you to learn from.
