Default Hello everyone! I'm Hopping to start learning java.

    Hi guys,
I'm from Lithuania, still a student. Before few months I have started learning pascal language and I really enjoying wtritting these simple 20 verses codes. I want to learn java and write something more interesting then mathematic programs. But I don't know were to start. I will be very thankfull if you give me some great advices were I should begin. One of the most thing I want to know is, how is created programs like "NotePad" (not console programs(I don't know how it is called)), because I think notepad is quite easy. I hope you understand what I want to say.
(Sorry for any mistakes I have done, I'm not good in English)

If you mean to start by writing a GUI or graphical program similar to Notepad, you might be surprised to know that it's not as easy as you think it is. Since you have basic programming skills and tools from your Pascal training, you should be able to breeze through the equivalent basics in Java, but you should still go through them. Get a book, find a web page, look at another topic just started in this section on 'getting started' for possible starting links. Refer to the Oracle Java Tutorials as a reference an alternate source of info. Come here when you have questions.

Welcome, and good luck with your journey.

    Welcome to the forums!

If you're asking how to make a GUI (graphical user interface) as opposed to a command line program, your first stop should be the Swing tutorials: Trail: Creating a GUI With JFC/Swing (The Java™ Tutorials)
