Thread: Hello, I love java (coffee)

Hello,
I'm a new member here, and this will be the first forum I post to about Java. While I am currently in my advanced class of Java, I consider myself a beginner when it comes to Java and programming. I'm hoping to have a place to go where others have probably run into exactly what I’m running into.

A little bit about me:
I am working on finishing a programming degree but that does not make me a normal-aged college student. I have been in the field of computers for about 20 years, and dabbled with programming from time to time but only got to do it professionally early in my career and decided to get deeper into it now, many years later. When I did a little bit of programming it was all mostly C, and I don't remember much of it now.

I look forward to learning some stuff. Thanks for having me.

EDIT: I really do love coffee, but I have been enjoying programming in Java too .

What are the topics in your advanced Java class? Data structures?

The advanced java class currently has me doing SQL Processor App. I have to connect to an Access DB and run SQL Statements on it. On the previous assignment we had to build an FTP Server and FTP Client. Right now i'm almost done with the current assignment. We did go over some data structure stuff but no assignments directly related to it.
