    Smile New to Java

    Good Evening Everyone,

I have been wanting to learn Java for awhile now. But I have no idea where to start to learn Java personally. So I am here to ask the ultimate of ultimate questions. Where is the best place to learn how to script for Java? I am currently running Netbeans 8.0 with JDK 7.10. I am running on the OS of Linux Mint 17 KDE. Is there a good place to go to get simple projects in to get my mind wrapped around the correct coding for Java so that I can learn to start putting my own Java projects together?
