My name is Samantha (Sam for short!) and I would call myself a newbie. I went to school for Accounting and got my bachelor's and master's degree both in accounting. I did minor in computer science, but didn't really go the programming route with my minor at the time. I got a job working in a sub-department of IT as an E-Commerce analyst, and I have really enjoyed it... So much that I have decided to go back to school and get my Master's of Computer Science degree!
I am just starting this fall, and I have a few prereq's to take to get up to speed before I start into the really hard classes.
But, I am confident that I will figure it all out. I'm taking all of my classes online since I work full-time, so I am losing a lot of the interaction/sharing ideas part of learning. This looks like a pretty good way to share ideas and learn from more experienced programmers in addition to what the textbooks are teaching me.
