I'm quite a newcomer to the world of programming...
I live in the south of the UK quite near the coast, am 13 years old and in year 8 at the school that I attend. I've always been good with numbers and technical stuff involving logic.
I have always loved computers and games. I play a variety for example; when I was younger I played StarWars Republic Commando, which I doubt any of you have heard of, as the only other people I have known to play was one of my friends about 4 years ago. I enjoy RTS games like supreme commander and StarCraft 2 and have become reasonably good (terrible). But recently I have stopped playing on many games except Minecraft (Java based) and on my PS3.
Any-way's with help from my dad (who works at IBM) and help from eclipse I managed to write System.out.println ("hello world"). My first Java application. I had a taste for programming and I liked it. So far I have made one working program which asked for two numbers and worked out the difference between them (without ending in a minus). Then I made you try to work out the answer and the computer tell you if you were right. This probably sounds easy but it was a massive learning curve for me. I will post this program somewhere later on (probably tomorrow) as I don't think member introductions is the right place.
As I am typing this I have just learned how to draw objects like rectangles ect. and am going to implement this into my difference calculator.
Edit: completly forgot. I have had experience jailbreaking my ipodtouch, I know the basics cydia rock green poison.
Feel free to add me on ps3 OnionzRingz
