    Smile Hello world!

    Hello world!

My name is Samir Gunic. I don't have any actual programming experience, except for HTML and CSS if you wanna count that in.

I have been using computers for many years. I have an overall general knowledge about pretty much everything that has to do with home computers at a very advanced level, not just the basics. Like, I know how to install OS, format disks, analyze STOP codes, custom build PCs and so on. That's not exactly common computer knowledge.

I am not unfamiliar with soldering iron either. Like, little over a years ago, I managed to fix my Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 disk with the infamous SD15 firmware problem using an RS232 shifter UART kit from SparkFun, some wires and a soldering iron (and PuTTY terminal client).

But I have not developed any actual programming skills as of yet. But I do know pretty much what's it all about. Source code, open source, closed source, IDE, compilers, C++, Java, Python, Lisp, programming paradigms, object oriented programming, etc.

What's the best forum section to put questions concerning use or installation of Java software in?

I will be learning Java and C++ as there is a lot of learning material for these languages. I hope this forum will be a good place to elaborate on different ideas and ask questions about Java programming.
