    Default Howdy, New to Java

Hey folks, I'm new to Java and am making a transition over from C#. I'm not very advanced with it but had been learning it until I made a switch to Linux. Just started reading Sam's Teach Yourself Java 6 in 21 Days so hopefully I pick it up ok. Seems like a fun language and probably one I'll like better. What with me being a big supporter and advocate of open source code as opposed to proprietary languages ehem MS ehem.

Figure I would at least register before I started lurking and didn't want my first post to be a "help please can't do something" post

I hope to be able to give back what I'll be taking over the next couple of months.
