Thread: Setting up a reseller hosting company cost

After reflection on my other thread on loosely the same topic, I decided to open a new one as this takes a different direction.
I quite like the idea of running an reseller hosting website partly for a little extra income (if possible) but mainly as a learning curve and hobby.
My question is how much would it cost to start up from scratch
I.E
Simple web design
Whmcs licence
Reseller account
Advertising

I have around £550-600 to stick into this project to start with and I am looking to pay reseller and whmcs monthly

Any help would be appreciated

Also would I need to buy site lock and so on if I went to do this?

I have found a template in which I would like to use, I consulted a web developer from USA who quoted me $400 to change template, integrate whmcs and simple logo design, that price sound ok for that amount of work if I'm providing the template? The reason I'd rather outsource the work is I have to experience of photoshop and so on, I know basic HTML and very basic CSS, or would it be quite simple to edit the template to my liking?

Thanks for the offer mate and I'll keep it in mind, I've decided after reading peoples comments to go with my original idea and use it as a way of learning, if at a later day after I've done as much as I can i still need work doing, I'll give you a pm.
