hi all very new to all this and stuck already....
hi as the title states i am very new to all this and am stuck already as i am missing a page in my books which shows on how to execute MyFirstProgram.java. can anybody out there please help me with this. i cant get the command console to recognice javac..

You need to tell the OS where the javac command is located. One way is to use the full path:get the command console to recognice javac
D:\Java\jdk1.7.0.7\bin\javac.exe -cp . -Xlint Some.java
Another is to set the environment PATH variable with the path to the bin holding the javac command.
If you don't understand my answer, don't ignore it, ask a question.
