    Default File Writer not writing no error in code

    I checked the path multiple times, the file where it reads from is in the same location
    ("C:\\Users\\Toshiba\\Desktop\\read.txt");
    but can't write in a new text file

    public static void sauve(String a , String b , int c , String d , int f ) {
    int i;
    try {
    FileWriter fw=new FileWriter("C:\\Users\\Toshiba\\Desktop\\result.tx t");
    BufferedWriter bw= new BufferedWriter(fw);
    bw.write("Name : " +d);
    bw.newLine();
    bw.write("question number : "+ f);
    bw.newLine();
    bw.write("start time "+ a);
    bw.newLine();
    bw.write("Score : "+ c);
    bw.newLine();
    bw.write("finish time "+ b);
    bw.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println("Error "+e);
    }
    }

    Please post your code in code or highlight tags.

    The space in "tx t" was the only nit I could see, and without that your method works fine for me. The file is created and it contains the data I sent to it. Either you're not looking for the file in the correct location on your computer, or it's there and you're not seeing it.

    Here's the code that works fine for me. The only line I changed is the file name:
    import java.io.FileWriter;
    import java.io.BufferedWriter;

    public class TestClass
    {
        public static void main( String[] args )
        {
            sauve( "1735", "1927", 117, "My Name", 32 );
        }

        public static void sauve( String a , String b , int c , String d , int f )
        {
            int i;

            try
            {
                FileWriter fw = new FileWriter( "./files/result.txt" );
                BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter( fw );
                bw.write( "Name : " + d );
                bw.newLine();
                bw.write( "question number : " + f );
                bw.newLine();
                bw.write( "start time " + a );
                bw.newLine();
                bw.write( "Score : " + c );
                bw.newLine();
                bw.write( "finish time " + b );
                bw.close();
            }
            catch ( Exception e )
            {
                System.out.println( "Error " + e );
            }
        }

    }
