Nice! I've been learning for about a month now and I've went through many books. The thing is so many of them are hard to understand or I just don't like them for some reason. The book I recommend that you read that I've sticked with since I started is "Sams Teach Yourself Java in 24 Hours, Sixth Edition". It's made up of 24 lessons and they all focus on different topics. Each lesson also has one big coding project you can copy and learn from and there's also exercises and test questions at the end of every lesson. Good luck with your coding adventures!
