Post recover the text displayed on the screen to a file (txt for example)

Hello everybody. This is the first time I'm posting on this forum and I frankly come with heavy (at least compared to my level programming). Here I would like to collect automatically in a file ( txt) the characters displayed on the screen.
    description
I'm working on a system that the database is remote. To receive information , there is a terminal by which sends commands . The feedback is displayed only on the screen and you can only print . This is actually a terminal black screen , white character , such as command line "DOS" . The software can not export , or access to the database or other means of information retrieval .
I explored the track of the OCR . But the result produced is not consistent with the captured picture.
How can I do please ? I have no other tracks ....
Thank you in advance for your many contributions .....

Welcome to the forum! Please read this topic to learn how to post code correctly and other useful info for new members.

I don't believe what you've described can be done with Java. An alternate approach would be to create a GUI front end to access the database and that probably could be done with Java, but it would require developer access to the data. Either offer to write a better front end and ask the owner for the required access or request the owner provide a more friendly front end.

    Thks! Ok.
It is true that it is not easy. But there would be there a way to redirect the output terminal of my software to another exit? you can synchronize it with the command line "DOS"

Helloeverybody. Currently I have a very promising track. I finally recover the information through the spooler windows. The information is located in a SPL file. My last step is just to convert TXT or other format that I could handle programming.
My research on google helped me find software to read (in this case SPLViewer who reads only). Another ACKmask SPL concert can pick it in txt, but it pays. And I rather need the source to integrate my aplli.

My question is: is there a function, dll, an API or something (free or paid) in any programming language that allows me to do such a conversion? thanks for any help!

If you have the format for the contents of the SPL file, a java program can be written to read the file and extract its contents.
