    string literal is not properly closed by a double quote

    Welcome to the forum! Thanks for taking the time to learn how to post code correctly. If you haven't already, please read this topic to learn other useful info for new members.

    String literal properly enclosed in double quotes:

    String this = "That";

    Some editors or (especially) word processors use the open quote, end quote characters instead of straight double-quotes, and the compiler will not recognize the quotes correctly. Ensure that you are editing your source code with a plain text editor using the standard ASCII character set.
