    Default Need help finding why this code doesn't work!

    I have just written this code, but it is not printing out "Working correctly!" if I input "123"... does anybody know why this is the case?

    public static void main(String[] args) {

            String[][] array = new String[3][3];

            array[1][0] = "123";

            Scanner scanner = new Scanner(System.in);

            System.out.print("Enter a number : ");
            String userEntry = scanner.nextLine();

            if (userEntry == array[1][0]) {
                System.out.println("Working correctly!");
            }
        }

    Use the equals() method to compare the contents of two String objects, not the == operator.
    If you don't understand my answer, don't ignore it, ask a question.
