    is this code correct to take the first word and also make provision if the input is only one

    buildSimpleCommand(String input) {
    int i = input.indexOf(' ');
    if (i > -1) {
    return new Command(input.substring(0, i).trim());
    } else {

    return i;
    }

    What happens when you test it with different inputs to the method?
    Does that code compile without errors?
    The method is missing a return type.
    It returns values with different types.

    your code returns Command or int,
    only one is correct
